This student came to One Strategy Group as a Harvard economics major with no finance background, preparing to recruit for growth equity. She has since accepted an offer with General Atlantic’s growth equity team, starting in 2027.
Coming from economics rather than a finance or business program, she was a step behind on the technical side going in. The fundamentals were there, but the interviews pushed further — into modeling, accounting, and stock pitches — and that’s where the gaps showed. Through One Strategy Group’s mentorship, she built that technical foundation up, and by the time the real interviews came around, she felt ready on both the behavioral and technical fronts.
