Our Specialty
One-Size-Fits-All Curriculum
In many organizations, mentors are assigned to large groups of students. To keep up, they rely on recorded lectures and a one-size-fits-all approach. But every student learns differently, at their own pace, with unique interests and goals. This impersonal method leaves many students feeling unmotivated, and unable to retain what they’ve learned.
VS
Individualized Planning and One-On-One Sessions
Each OSG student is supported by a team of 15–20 mentors, including a lead mentor, behavioral and technical mentors, and more. We start by understanding each student’s unique goals, then craft a long-term career plan tailored to them. While our curriculum is standardized to ensure quality, our teaching approach is fully personalized—adapting to each student’s learning style and pace. That’s how we are able to transform students with no prior experience in finance or consulting into top candidates and land offers in just 3 months.
Non-compliant Practices
Some programs take advantage of stressed students by selling shortcuts like paid internships or guaranteed referrals. While they may seem like a quick solution, these offers can backfire. Paid internships won’t pass background checks as no reputable company sells internship positions. Guaranteed referrals also violate SEC compliance and can get your application flagged or blacklisted.
VS
Empowering Growth Through Skill and Confidence
At OSG, we believe every student has the potential to succeed, and we have the tools, experience, and mentorship to help them get there. That’s why we never rely on shortcuts. Instead, we guide our students through every step of earning legitimate referrals and internships the right way, from cold emailing and networking to acing interviews. It’s real preparation for real results.
Weak Mentor Network
Many organizations consist of a network of mentors who have long since retired or lack legitimate, full-time experience at top finance and consulting firms. But having current and experienced professionals as mentors matters, especially in fast moving industries. Mentors who are no longer active often fall behind on key trends, tools, and expectations. Full-time experience is just as critical; only those who’ve spent years working in the field can offer students the practical insights, up-to-date knowledge, and real-world guidance needed to succeed.
VS
Robust and Experienced Mentor Network
OSG has a network of 500+ mentors, each with 2–3+ years of full-time experience and currently working in front-office roles at top firms. And that makes all the difference. Our mentors offer industry insights that go far beyond what you can find online, sharing the latest on recruiting timelines, regional and office-specific requirements, and what it really takes to succeed in highly competitive roles.
